1. Gunung Krakatau

Gunung Krakatau merupakan sebuah gunung vulkanik yang terletak di antara Pulau Jawa dan Sumatra (Indonesia) dikenal karena letusannya di tahun 1883 yang setara dengan 200 megaton TNT, atau melebihi 13.000 kali bom atom yang menghantam Hiroshima selama Perang Dunia II dan korban dari bencana ini sudah lebih dari 100.000 jiwa.




2. Gunung Tambora

Gunung Tambora salah satu gunung berapi paling mematikan dunia, meletus tahun 1815 menelan korban kurang lebih 10.000 jiwa, efek dari letusannya konon bisa dilihat dari London dan beberapa sumber mengatakan lebih dari 80.000 orang meninggal karenanya.






3. Gunung Pelee

Gunung Pelee terletak di Perancis diwilayah Martinique, terkenal karena letusannya pada tahun 1902, diperkirakan menelan korban lebih dari 30.000 orang dan menghancurkan Santo Pierre dikota Martinique.









4. Gunung Nevado del Ruiz

Gunung Nevado del Ruiz terletak sekitar 129 kilometer barat Bogota Kolombia, meletus pada tahun 1985 menyebabkan kematian 23.000 jiwa, menghancurkan kota Armero dan peristiwa ini dikenal sebagai “Armero Tragedi “








5. Gunung St Helens

Gunung St Helens terletak di Washington dan termasuk gunung paling mematikan lainnya, letusannya pada tahun 1980 menewaskan 57 orang dan menurut perkiraan karena letusan gunung berapi ini amerika menderita kerugian sebesar 3 Milyar US.
